Within the framework of its keenness to strengthen the position of the State of Libya and its international leadership in areas related to its tasks, the General information Authority pays special attention to strengthening international cooperation with its international partners, and maintains close relations with them, it always strives to enhance and develop cooperation in various areas of common interest at the bilateral and multilateral levels, in a way that contributes to the development of the national information sector, the importance of this cooperation for the Authority stems from its conviction that working with international partners is the best way to accelerate and develop the national information sector, considering that the international partners are among the effective pillars that contribute to achieving the strategic goals.

Since its  established , the authority has been keen to open channels of effective communication with international partners, and to benefit from its expertise, especially in the areas of information technology, digital transformation and capacity building.

The authority is currently working on implementing many different projects in cooperation with its international partners, as part of its efforts to transfer knowledge and benefit from the best international practices in informatics. These organizations include:

E-Governance Academy in the Republic of Estonia

– The two sides, the general Information Authority and the E-Governance Academy in the Republic of Estonia, are working on preparing a cooperation agreement in the areas of e-government and digital transformation.

Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA)

ESCWA works to assist the General information Authority in many projects and targeted initiatives, especially within the framework of the mission of this organization, and among these projects, for example:

  • National information policy.
  • The National Strategy for Digital Transformation.
  • Measuring indicators of digital transformation..The first session to measure the maturity index of government electronic and mobile services – GEMS and the role of sectoral information and documentation centers in this indicator.

Expertise France

Through the work of the Expertise France in Libya, the authority cooperates with this institution in implementing projects in the field of information technology to move forward in digital transformation, and to provide technical support to the authority in building human capacities.

Arab Federation for Technical Education

Realizing on both sides the magnitude of the rapid and tremendous development in various technical fields and the various requirements that accompany this, perhaps the most important of which is the development and advancement of the human element, which requires training and qualification of human resources capable of keeping pace with the rapid transformation in technical fields… The two parties are currently working on concluding a cooperation agreement in the areas of training, development, consulting, exchange of experiences, support and enhancement of skills and capabilities in areas of common interest.
