This morning, Sunday, a wide-ranging meeting was held at the headquarters of the General Information Authority on Republic Street, bringing together the Director of the Office of the Authority Chairman, department and office directors, and the technical team assigned from the National Center for Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management.
The meeting was opened by the Director of Experts Office at the General Information Authority, Engineer Adel Al-Toumi, with a welcoming speech in which he emphasized the importance of integration between state institutions to enhance national response resilience, praising the vital role played by the Center in crisis management and building national risk databases.
For his part, Dr. Kamel Al-Azabi, head of the delegation, gave a brief overview of the Center’s strategic vision, reviewing the key works and achievements it had accomplished. The meeting also included a presentation by Mr. Alaa Eldin Al-Miladi, Director of the National Risk Registry Project, on the “National Risk Registry,” while Engineer Doaa Qaddour, Assistant Project Director, delivered a detailed presentation focusing on technical aspects and information linkage mechanisms.
In a step that strengthens joint institutional work, the Director of the Experts Office reviewed the “Authority’s Risk Register,” which was prepared according to precise standards to identify and analyze risks related to the national information and data sector, and how the Authority responds to them within business continuity plans, emphasizing the efforts made by the technical team at the General Authority for Information.
This meeting comes within the framework of the General Authority for Information’s efforts to consolidate cooperation with all national entities and to put the Authority’s technical and informational capabilities at the service of strategic projects aimed at protecting the country and efficiently managing its resources in the face of crises.
In conclusion, the team assigned by the National Center for Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management praised the readiness of the Authority and its technical capabilities in this field (the Authority’s Risk Register).
