Within the framework of the national role undertaken by the General Information Authority in leading the governance of national data and developing systems of indicators and developmental information, the Authority participated today, Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in coordination with the Permanent Committee for Monitoring and Implementing the Africa 2063 Agenda and the National Indicator Monitoring Team, in the conclusion of an intensive working day to prepare the national report for Agenda 2063, the second ten-year plan.

The Authority’s team of experts, alongside the Permanent Committee team, worked on analyzing national indicators, verifying the quality of information sources, and updating the approved monitoring templates in accordance with the work guides issued by the African Union Commission, AUDA-NEPAD Development Agency, ensuring that the data is consistent with the requirements of continental monitoring and implementation systems.

The work was carried out in a highly professional atmosphere, reflecting the national team’s commitment to enhancing the reliability of information, improving the quality of development indicators, and supporting a national report based on accurate and standardized data that contributes to shaping development policies and knowledge-based decision-making.

The General Information Authority confirmed that this effort is part of its national responsibilities to enable the country’s information infrastructure, improve the efficiency of systems for monitoring development indicators, and enhance the quality of national data that supports decision-making in line with Libya’s vision towards knowledge transformation and sustainable development.
