Today, Wednesday, the General Information Authority, in cooperation with Sebha University, organized a consultative workshop to prepare the seventh national report for human development 2025, during which they exchanged discussion between the participants on the pivotal role of academic institutions in preparing this report targeted for issuance during the next year 2025, and drawing conclusions to put them in the preparation process, based on a real and vital partnership that supports the development process and enhances the leadership of the State of Libya.
The workshop, which was organized at the Kalila Language Amphitheater at Sebha University, under the slogan “Promoting National Integration for Development”, was attended by the President of Sebha University, Prof. Dr. Masoud M’hamed Al-Rekik, and the Vice President of the University, Dr. Musa Abdul Rahman Mai, along with representatives of the authority and a number of faculty members and employees at the university. The workshop was also attended by a group of experts and academics interested in human development affairs, and representatives of a number of government institutions.
The workshop witnessed the presentation of several scientific papers dealing with analytical readings of the sixth national human development report, the interdisciplinary dimension of sustainable development, the possibilities available for development in the South, an overview of the importance of human capital, and rethinking human development in today’s world.
Participants exchanged views on key needs related to several areas of human development in Libya, and how the Commission can best assist its national consultations to prepare the seventh National Human Development Report, in an inclusive and effective manner.
During the workshop, it was stressed to support the Authority’s efforts in preparing the seventh national report on human development.
The workshop is part of a series of national consultations through which the General Information Authority seeks to involve all parties in the preparation of the seventh national report on human development.
