Building on national efforts to support digital transformation, the General Information Authority has begun expanding the scope of government data publication through its official platform (https://opendata.gia.gov.ly), reinforcing digital transparency and empowering the knowledge community in Libya.
The platform’s statistical updates until this February reflect a growing volume of development and participation, with the following indicators recorded:
– 91 high-precision datasets.
– 04 files available for direct download and use.
– Participation of 09 active government entities.
– Coverage of 08 vital and developmental sectors.
The Authority emphasizes that this expansion represents a fundamental pillar for building a sustainable digital economy and improving Libya’s ranking in international indicators.
On this occasion, the Authority calls on all public institutions to contribute to enriching this national information repository, ensuring the integration of efforts and maximizing the benefit from the state’s informational assets.
