Today, Monday, the General information auhtority participated in the activities of the introductory day held within the framework of the preparatory activities for the third session of the Libya International Forum for Information Technology, which is scheduled to take place from 4 to 6 September, sponsored by the Libyan Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Holding Company, and with the participation and implementation of the General information authority, the National Information Security and Safety authority , the General Authority for Communications and Informatics and the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tripoli.

The activities of the introductory day witnessed extensive scientific participation on blockchain technology and digital currencies, in addition to organizing a workshop on strategies for the communications and informatics sector.

During its participation in the activities of the introductory day, the General information authority reviewed the strategic and valuable studies that it had prepared and completed recently in the field of informatics, engineer Adel Jumaa Al-Toumi, Director of the Authority’s National Information System Department, emphasized during his presentation of the national policy for data governance as a model, that these studies represent an added value to support the decision-maker.

The authority was represented on the introductory day, along with Eng. Adel Jumaa Al-Toumi, Dr. Abdel Raouf Ali Al-Bibas, Informatics Counselor at the Authority, Engineer Ali Al-Baroni, Engineer Samir Maarouf, and Engineer Abdul Hakim Al-Farad.

It is noteworthy that the Libya International Forum for Information Technology is a scientific and economic forum that works on planning and implementing sustainable development mechanisms and developing human resources in the field of information technology in general, focusing on the application of scientific programs and field solutions commensurate with the reality of work in Libya.
