As part of its preparations for launching the 2025 Electronic and Mobile Government Services Maturity Index (GEMS) evaluation process, the Public Authority for Information held an extensive coordination meeting yesterday, Thursday, at its headquarters with representatives from the relevant government entities.During the meeting, the working mechanism of the index was explained in detail, including the key indicators to be measured and the data collection methods approved by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). The required roles of each entity were also clarified to ensure the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the data, which lays the foundation for a comprehensive and effective assessment that contributes to elevating government services to global standards. The meeting featured a contribution via Zoom from Dr. Nawar Al-Awa, the ESCWA representative, who provided additional clarifications on the importance of the index in supporting digital transformation.
