As part of its ongoing efforts to accelerate digital transformation and adopt modern technologies in the country, the General Information Authority organized a national virtual workshop today, Wednesday, titled “(Blockchain: Policies and Impact).”
The workshop saw broad participation and active engagement from representatives of various relevant state institutions and entities. The sessions were dedicated to discussing the fundamental concepts of Blockchain technology, reviewing the policies and regulatory frameworks required for its implementation, assessing the current situation, and exploring ways to develop digital infrastructure while enhancing the efficiency and reliability of data and service flows.
This initiative reflects the Authority’s keenness to unify national visions and build effective institutional partnerships that align with the latest international standards in the fields of the knowledge economy and sustainable technological innovation.
Blockchain technology is a secure and distributed digital database that logs transactions and data in interconnected, encrypted blocks that are easy to verify and impossible to tamper with or alter. This technology provides the highest levels of transparency and security, enabling the protection of government data, accelerating electronic transaction exchanges between different entities, reducing paperwork, and mitigating cyber risks.وان (سلاسل الكتل: السياسات والأثر).
