Yesterday, Sunday, the General Information Authority participated in the activities of the second edition of the “Information Governance Forum,” which was held in conjunction with the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day at the Corinthia Hotel in the capital, Tripoli. This was organized through a joint cooperation with the General Authority for Telecommunications and Informatics, the Libyan Post, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Holding Company (LPTIC), the Government Communication Center, and the Libyan Foundation for Technology, along with a number of civil society organizations. The event witnessed a remarkable attendance of officials, experts, and stakeholders in the sector.

The General Information Authority directly enriched the forum’s activities and panel discussions by presenting three prominent scientific and strategic pillars:

It commenced its participation with a working paper presented by Eng. Mounir Mohamed El-Adl, Director of the Planning and Projects Department, which addressed “The Role of the General Information Authority as an Enabler in the Regulatory Framing of Digital Transformation.” A visual presentation was also delivered on “The Role of Government Platforms in Supporting Governance and Enhancing Transparency.” The Authority concluded its contribution with an in-depth interactive panel discussion on “Digital Public Infrastructure,” presented and enriched by both Eng.
