The General Information Authority participates in the exhibition of young innovators of information and communication technology and presents the services of the government bidding and procurement platform.

The General Information Authority, along with a number of official and private Libyan institutions, participated in the Young Innovators Exhibition for Information and Communication Technology, which was organized by the College of Electronic Technology today, Wednesday, at its headquarters in Tripoli.
The authority was represented at the opening ceremony of the exhibition by Dr. Abdul Raouf Ali Al Bibas, accompanied by a number of engineers and employees.
During the opening ceremony, the authority presented a visual presentation of the most important features of the government bidding and procurement platform, in which Eng. Hossam Al-Rabiti discussed the nature of the work and services of this platform, its objectives and its main components, In addition to introducing the mechanism for bringing offers, noting the direct and great interest that the platform receives from the head of the General information Authority, Eng. Abdel Basset Salem Al-Baour, which comes within the framework of his keenness to move forward to achieve the goals for which it was established.
The Authority displayed, in its stand at the exhibition, a number of introductory publications of the Authority and its efforts in serving the information sector, in addition to brochures on the bidding and government procurement platform.

The head of the authority confirmed during the meeting, the importance of integration with the Ministry of Economy and Trading regarding the technical and procedural steps for activating the second phase of the government tenders and procurement platform, in relation to registering the suppliers, demonstrating that the General Information Authority is heading towards an effective role in the work on this platform, according to the directives of the Government of National Accord, showcasing what the work teams have accomplished so far, and the need for doubling the efforts.
The Head of the Authority was briefed by the Director of the National Information System Department on the agreement reached at last Thursday’s meeting, which brought together Engineer Adel AlToumi with Engineer Hussain Al Lamoushi regarding the activation of the second phase of the platform.
