The Minister of Culture and Cognitive Development, Mrs. Mabrouka Toghi, praised the cooperation
between the Ministry and the General information Authority in all fields, especially informatics, and the
integration of their efforts to achieve the public interest.
This came during her reception of the head of the Authority, Eng. Abdelbaset Salem Al-Baour,
accompanied by the Director of the President’s Affairs Office, Mr. Ashraf Bashir Al-Murabit, today,
Tuesday, at the Ministry’s office, in the presence of the Director General of the Research, Information
and Documentation Center of the Ministry, Dr. Khalifa Al-Hadi Shanak.
The meeting dealt with ways to enhance cooperation between the Ministry and the Authority in the
areas of information technology, digitization operations in the Ministry, and data management
necessary for the Ministry’s electronic platform, in addition to how to benefit from the expertise that
the authority possesses in supporting the center in establishing systems for archiving and documenting
information. The meeting also discussed holding training courses on data and information management
and governance.
During the meeting, Engineer Abdel Basset Salem Al-Baour, head of the Authority, affirmed keenness to
achieve coordination and enhance effective joint cooperation with all institutions in the country to
achieve integration in line with the trends towards the transition to a digital society.
