The General Authority for Information participated in the expanded meeting held by the Higher Committee for the Supervision of the National Strategy for Performance Control, Anti-Corruption, and its Prevention (2025-2030), chaired by Mr. Ibrahim Abdul Karim Ibrahim, and dedicated to discussing the preparation and development of codes of professional conduct in public institutions.
The authority’s participation comes within the framework of its commitment to supporting efforts to enhance good governance and consolidate the principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability in the public sector, through contributing to the development of regulatory frameworks and national policies supporting the rational administration of government institutions.
During the meeting, the General Authority for Information affirmed the importance of employing digital transformation, data governance, and modern technologies in supporting the system of integrity and control, in a manner that contributes to enhancing institutional compliance, raising performance efficiency, and limiting the risks associated with corruption and conflicts of interest.
The authority also indicated that codes of professional conduct represent one of the fundamental pillars for building an institutional culture based on professional responsibility and ethical values, in a manner that aligns with national directions towards developing public administration and achieving the goals of the National Strategy for Performance Control, Anti-Corruption, and its Prevention for the years 2025-2030.
This participation comes within the continuous efforts of the authority in supporting national initiatives aimed at enhancing digital governance, consolidating the principles of transparency and integrity, and contributing to building public institutions that are more efficient, reliable, and responsive to the requirements of development and digital transformation in Libya.
