Today, Monday, the Chairman of the General Authority for Information, Engineer Abdul Basit Salem Al-Baour, held a meeting with the President of Barak Al-Shati University, Dr. Nasser Bouhamoud.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation between the Authority and the University, and to support the consultative and research track related to the national report. During the meeting, Engineer Abdul Basit Al-Baour emphasized the importance of a “qualitative focus” and active participation in the national social consultations that the Authority plans to launch in April.
For his part, Dr. Nasser Bouhamoud expressed Barak Al-Shati University’s readiness to contribute genuinely to these consultations, indicating that the University will serve as a vital platform to enhance national participation, reflecting the aspirations of scientific and youth competencies in the southern region, in a way that serves the comprehensive vision of the report.
At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to continue coordination between the technical teams of the authority and the university’s research centers, in preparation for signing a joint memorandum of understanding that will organize the mechanisms of this cooperation. It is worth noting that this meeting came following Dr. Nasser Bu Hamoud’s participation in the ceremony announcing the main features of the Seventh National Human Development Report, which was organized by the authority today in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme.
