The #Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, #Engineer Abd al-Hamid Mohammed Dbeibeh, witnessed the official ceremony announcing the opening of the #United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) office in the capital, Tripoli, under the slogan:
“Celebrating Education, Culture, and Science with UNESCO,”
after being hosted at the Red Saraya Theatre, in an event that reflects the return of international institutional presence and the support of development pathways in Libya.
The General Information Authority participated in the inauguration ceremony, within the framework of its pivotal role #as a national strategic partner in building and developing the information society, and enhancing the integration between data and digital policies at the national level.
This participation comes in the context of UNESCO’s growing interest in supporting information society systems, consolidating the principles of open knowledge, innovation, and the use of data in supporting sustainable development.
