The General Information Authority (GIA) participated in the expanded meeting held by the Supreme Committee for supervising the National Strategy for Performance Audit, Anti-Corruption, and Prevention (2025–2030). The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ibrahim Abdul Karim Ibrahim and was dedicated to discussing the formulation and development of codes of professional conduct within public institutions.
The Authority’s participation comes as part of its commitment to supporting efforts that enhance good governance and establish principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability in the public sector. This is achieved by contributing to the development of regulatory frameworks and national policies that support the sound management of government institutions.
During the meeting, the General Information Authority emphasized the importance of leveraging digital transformation, data governance, and modern technologies to support the integrity and oversight system. This contribution aims to enhance institutional compliance, improve performance efficiency, and mitigate risks associated with corruption and conflicts of interest.
Furthermore, the Authority pointed out that codes of professional conduct represent a fundamental pillar for building an institutional culture grounded in professional responsibility and ethical values. This aligns with national trends toward developing public administration and achieving the goals of the National Strategy for Performance Audit, Anti-Corruption, and Prevention (2025–2030).
This participation falls within the Authority’s ongoing efforts to support national initiatives aimed at enhancing digital governance, consolidating the principles of transparency and integrity, and contributing to building public institutions that are more efficient, reliable, and responsive to the requirements of development and digital transformation in Libya.
