The head of the General Information Authority, Engineer Abdelbaset Salem Al-Baour, said that the Authority’s initiative to implement a professional diploma in law and informatics, which has received government approval, aims to graduate generations of professionals and specialists in this field.

 This came during his attendance at part of the eleventh meeting of the Committee for Preparing the Professional Diploma in Law and Informatics, which was held this morning, Tuesday, at the Authority’s headquarters.

The head of the Authority added that the selection of the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies to implement the professional diploma in law and informatics, in partnership with the National Authority for Information Security and Safety, was due to the academy’s extensive experience in this field, pointing to the close cooperation between the General Information Authority,  the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies, and the National Authority for Information Security and Safety in several areas.

Engineer Abdel Baset Al-Baour confirmed that the Authority is always seeking to create and develop the legislative environment in information systems that support digital transformation, and providing all the necessary resources to enable it to fulfill its role in serving this nation.

The Committee for the Preparation of the Professional Diploma in Law and Informatics discussed many of the topics on its agenda at this meeting, including the preparations and arrangements related to the workshop to be organized by both the General Information Authority, the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies, and the National Authority for Information Security and Safety in the coming days regarding this diploma.

 The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of International Cooperation, Relations, and Media at the Authority, and the Director of the Media Office at the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies.
