As part of its continuous efforts to enhance government integration and support the path toward digital transformation in the public administration sector, the General Information Authority—represented by its Chairman, Eng. Abdul Basit Salim Al-Ba’our—participated in an expanded meeting held yesterday, Tuesday, at the ministry’s headquarters by the Minister of Civil Service, Mr. Abdul Monem Ibrahim Saleh. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Digital Company, Eng. Essam Al-Awal; the Director of the IT Office, Mr. Osama Dhow; and the Head of the Information and Documentation Center at the Ministry of Civil Service, Mr. Salama Eisa.
The meeting was dedicated to discussing the preparation of a comprehensive national plan for digital transformation. This plan aims to develop the digital infrastructure of the Ministry of Civil Service, finalize the implementation of the state human resources system, and strengthen support for local administration by developing integrated digital systems that boost institutional performance and modernize government work methods.
During the meeting, the General Information Authority demonstrated its role by leveraging its technical and technological expertise to provide the necessary support for unifying government databases and ensuring effective integration among various state institutions. Additionally, the Authority contributed its strategic vision to map out mechanisms for digitizing administrative procedures and play an active role in building an integrated national system for human resource management. These efforts align with the Government of National Unity’s drive toward comprehensive digital transformation, improving the quality of public services, and establishing principles of governance and transparency to achieve modern, efficient, and sustainable public administration.
